Renaming, moving or Deletinga remote file in a Contribute site in Macromedia Dreamweaver
Deleting a file from the remote server that hosts a Contribute site works just like deleting a file from the server for a site in Macromedia Dreamweaver. However, if you delete a file in a Contribute site, Macromedia Dreamweaver asks if you want to delete all old versions of the file. If you want to keep older versions of Macromedia Dreamweaver, a copy of the current version so you can restore it later.
The name of an external file or move it from one folder to another in a Contribute site works similarly to the method works in a Macromedia Dreamweaver. Rename a Contribute site, Macromedia Dreamweaver or to move the corresponding versions of the previous file that is stored in files _baks.
If you delete an external file:
Select the file in the Remote Files panel (Window> Files), then press the Backspace key (Windows) or Delete (Macintosh).
A dialog in which you confirm that you want to delete the file.
When deleting previous versions option in the dialog box to confirm the following:
To delete all previous versions of the file and the current version, select the Delete Rollback versions.
If you have earlier versions on the server, click the Delete option to leave earlier.
Click Yes to delete the file.
The file is deleted. If you choose to remove previous versions, they will be deleted. If you choose not to remove previous versions, kept a copy of _baks the current version in the folder as a new file revision.
